Nobody will tell you what shipping from a Japanese sex shop costs, and there is a reason
You put a US$18 toy in the basket and the total comes to something else entirely. Everyone who has ordered from a Japanese shop has had this moment, and the reason is not that anyone is hiding anything. It is that the number genuinely does not exist until the basket knows what is in it.
I went and read the shipping terms rather than guessing, because this is the part of buying from Japan that costs people money and nobody writes it down in English.
It is priced by weight, not by what you spent
The mechanism is the same at every Japanese shop I have looked at, and otonaJP states it plainly: three carriers — DHL Express, JP Post, or Surface — and the cost is calculated from actual weight or volumetric weight, whichever is worse, and has nothing to do with the value of the order.
That last part is the bit that catches people. There is no free shipping threshold to chase. Spending more does not help. What helps is buying things that are small and dense rather than large and light, which for this product category is a genuinely annoying constraint, because most of it is large and light.
Volumetric weight is why. A soft, bulky item can be charged as if it weighed several times what it does, because the courier is selling you space in an aircraft, not mass.
So the number you want is the weight
This is where the Japanese product data earns its keep, because Japanese shops publish weight and dimensions as standard and Western shops usually do not.

- Size
- 150mm long, 80mm wide (5.91in × 3.15in)
- Shop rating

390 grams, 150mm by 80mm. That is a small, dense item by the standards of the shelf, which means it is close to a best case for shipping. Compare that to something the size of a torso and you are in a different price bracket before you have picked a carrier.
When you are deciding between two products, put the weights side by side first. It will change the ranking more often than you expect.
What I cannot tell you
The exact figure for your country. I am not going to invent one.
There is no published rate table. The shops calculate it live at the basket from your address and the contents. Anyone writing "shipping is about $15" in an English blog post is guessing, and the guess will be wrong for half their readers.
What you should do instead takes ninety seconds: put the item in the basket, enter your country, and read the number before you create an account or enter anything else. Every shop I have used shows it at that point. Then close the tab if you do not like it.
Do this once for your country and you will have a rule of thumb you can apply forever. That is worth more than any number I could put here.
The other thing that gets people
Customs. otonaJP's own terms tell you to check your country's rules and be aware of the laws where you live, which is the polite version of "this is your problem, not ours."
Two separate issues live inside that sentence and they get confused constantly:
Duty and import VAT are about money. Below a certain value most countries do not bother; above it you get a bill, sometimes weeks later, sometimes with a handling fee attached that costs more than the duty. Look up your country's de minimis threshold once.
Legality is not about money. Some countries restrict what can be imported in this category regardless of value, and that is a real risk of losing the package rather than paying extra for it. I am not qualified to advise on your jurisdiction and I am not going to pretend otherwise. Check before you order, not after.
What I am not doing on this page
I have not tested this product and I am not going to write as though I had. There are people who do that properly. Ona Lab Reviews has years of hands-on testing behind it and if you want to know how something feels, go there.
What I can do is read the Japanese side. Product data, specifications, what Japanese buyers actually complain about, and the shipping mechanics that English shops never explain. That is a different job and I would rather do it well than fake the other one.
Next time you are about to order: check the weight before the price. That is the habit worth building.
Prices, sales counts and review counts in this article are from the date shown next to them. Japanese shops run sales constantly, so check the store page for what it costs today.
